In September 2007, Ray Davis was already hosting a one-hour radio/internet talk show about the sport of racquetball called Racquetball Roundtable on WNJC 1360 AM radio station in New Jersey when the hour in front of his became available.  Ray wanted to diversify is talk show topics and decided to host a show on Records and Information Management and Information Governance which was his job and profession during the day.

Ray contacted Jeff Glover to ask him to be his co-host for the show.   Ray and Jeff met a number of years earlier through a professional membership organization they each belonged to.   Jeff said yes, and the wheels turned in motion.  Over the next few months they developed the segments for the show and went live with their first show on December 4, 2007.

The purpose of the show is to promote education and knowledge to the end users in the profession which Ray and Jeff felt was lacking. Inside The Records Room was a way to bring topics and subject matter experts to the listeners on a weekly basis.
